Ditoko Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
The short version: Ditoko reads your location only when you open the app, puts it in a link on your clipboard, and that's it. We don't have user accounts, we don't run a server that stores your location, and we never see where you are. The only person who learns your location is whoever you choose to send your link to.
Location
When you open Ditoko, the app reads your device's GPS position and
formats it into a shareable web link (for example
https://ditoko.web.app/map?lat=…&lng=…), which is copied
to your device's clipboard. This happens entirely on your device. Ditoko
has no user accounts and no backend database — your coordinates are not
transmitted to us, stored by us, or tracked over time. Location is read
only while the app is open; Ditoko does not track your location in the
background.
The map link you share
Your location is shared only when you paste and send your link to someone. Anyone who has the link can open it and see those coordinates on a map, so share it only with people you trust. The map page displays map imagery from OpenStreetMap; loading the map sends standard web requests (including the map area being displayed) to those tile servers, subject to the OpenStreetMap privacy policy.
Advertising
Ditoko is free and supported by ads. The app uses Google AdMob, and the ditoko.web.app site may display Google ads. Google's advertising services may collect device information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, and approximate (IP-based) location to serve and measure ads. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and manage your ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, names, emails, or phone numbers
- No contact list access
- No location history — we don't store where you've been, ever
- No selling of personal data
Children
Ditoko is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
